Children's Attention and Behaviour Training in Hong Kong
Many parents reach a point where they can see their child struggling but feel unsure what to try next. Medication has side effects. Waiting lists for assessments stretch for months. School support helps but rarely goes far enough.
Rebalance offers a different path: personalised, one on one attention and behaviour training for children and young people aged 2 to 15, designed to build real skills that last.
Programme Overview

What This Programme Is For
This programme supports children and young people who are finding daily life harder than it needs to be.
That might look like a child who cannot sit still long enough to finish homework, a young person who melts down over small setbacks, or a child whose teachers keep raising concerns about focus and classroom behaviour.

The programme is suitable for:
-
Children and young people aged 2 to 15
-
Those formally assessed by a clinical psychologist, educational psychologist, or psychiatrist with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger Syndrome, or Dyslexia
-
Children who need to develop better focus, without any formal diagnosis
-
Young people who would benefit from improving emotional regulation, social skills, communication, memory, or self management
A formal diagnosis is not required to enrol. If your child is struggling and you want structured, professional support, this programme is designed for families like yours.

How the Training Works
Every child is different, and the programme is built around that reality. Lead instructor Laura Lam designs each session individually, drawing on a range of teaching materials and activities to meet your child where they are.
Sessions include play therapy techniques, which are particularly effective for younger children and those who find traditional learning environments difficult.

Each session runs for one hour:

-
50 minutes of one on one training with your child
-
10 minutes of verbal reporting to parents at the end of the session
Laura provides a written assessment after every single session, covering your child's attention, emotional state, behaviour, social skills, and character development. You never leave wondering what happened in the room.

Sessions are available online via video call or in person at a Rebalance location. There is no fixed course length. Families can begin with a single session and continue at whatever pace suits them.

What Your Child Develops
The programme targets a broad set of skills and qualities across each child's areas of need:
Focus and learning: Concentration, memory, comprehension, and learning capacity
Emotional and social: Emotional regulation, social awareness, communication, and interpersonal skills
Character and behaviour: Positive values, responsibility, self discipline, courtesy, honesty, and resilience

12 Character Qualities
The 12 character qualities developed through the programme are drawn from Laura's Smart Moral Mascots framework: joy, courtesy, kindness, respect, civic mindedness, filial piety, diligence, responsibility, honesty, discipline, compassion, and patience. These are not abstract ideas. They are practised within sessions through structured activities and reinforced over time.
